Back on the Map - regenerating the East End and Hendon

Back on the Map is the New Deal for Communities regeneration programme for Sunderland's East End and Hendon area. It is a £54 million programme over ten years (2001 to 2011) which aims to improve the area and peole's quality of life. The programme is led by members of the local community who volunteer their time as resident directors and members of theme teams to make sure that Back on the Map's projects and services will make a real difference to their community.
